Alabama Shakes is a five piece band from Athens, Alabama. What attracts me to them are Brittany Howard's vocals. She is stunning. I would say Brittany Howard is a mix of Robert Plant, Axl Rose, and you can add a bit of soul influence in there as well. Regardless, she is unique and has amazing talent. Behind Brittany, the rest of the band is relatively melo. Check them out for an interesting mix!

Now I thought that the MTV hottest MC's list was bullshit. Today we got the XXL Freshman list for 2012 and man did they make some bad choices here. They skipped over some artists that I thought deserved to be on this list if you ask me. For one A$AP Rocky should be on this list hands down. There is not another freshman artist that has caused more buzz then him. Another one I feel like should be on the list is Chip. Hodgy decided to drop this off this weekend and I am really impressed. Hodgy is expected to do big things for Odd Future this year and this EP is going to get him off to a strong start. Domo is supposed to be dropping his project in the next couple of weeks so be on the look out for that one. This is a short EP but it has some solid tracks on here, each one deserves a listen to be honest. Check it out.

Reunited and it Sounds So Good

On Monday Rihanna and Chris Brown reunited to create remixes for their current hits. Chris hopped on Rihanna's jit "Cake" and Rihanna hopped on Chris's track "Turn Up The Music". Now I'm not going to lie, these songs just got a 100 times better. "Turn Up The Music" is my track right now, been on repeat for the whole week. They both did their thing on both tracks, check them out.

Here it is ladies and gentleman, Tyga's debut album is here and ready to go. I have been waiting for this one for awhile now and I am so happy it is finally here. This one has some solid features ranging from Nicki, Wale, J.Cole, and many more. I will give this a solid listen and let you guys know which tracks are my favorite. Check it out.

Here is the run down, after taking a solid listen to this album I am going to say that it is a pretty solid freshman album. Tyga gave a taste of what got him popular and a softer side. Although, I don't like how he did the story theme. Seems that everyone is starting to copy J.Cole. Tyga has some solid features from Big Sean and J.Cole. This album is worth the download though, so make sure you get it.

In the 10 spot they have Wale which I don't agree with on the count of he kicked J.Cole out of the top 10. In the ninth position they put Big Sean, which is a fair placement. The full list should be up by the end of the week. Above is the reasoning of Wale's position and below is Big Sean's. Check them out and keep checking back everyday for more on the list. Diplo is one of the leaders in EDM music and is one of my favorite EDM artists. He is real diverse, producing electro-house, moombathon, and much more. Diplo has produced for some big name artists such as Lil Wayne, Yelawolf, Wale, Chris Brown, M.I.A.; the list goes on and on. I really like his new collaboration with Usher, titled Climax. It gives off a relaxed vibe with stunning vocals to put you in the back of your seat. Check it out!

You guys changed that, and the game shld forever be in debt to you. I remember getting 500 dollars for a show to fly out and see kids who had no idea what a wiz khalifa was, and you crazy muh fuggas showed up. Had a great time, and spread the word. Its ya’lls spirit who revived the rap game and brought back the true art to this shit. Your demand for live shows made it possible for a lot of rappers to come from nothing and feed their families. Promoters too, more kids are managers, dj’s videographers. Shit everyones eating. Thanx to you Taylors!!!! Take credit for that shit. Lol

Anyone questioning my choice in clothing as of lately (lol) I’ll just go out and say that it was needed. In a climate where everyone is looking and sounding the same, i always try to inspire my fans to be different. And i lead by example. At one point the way I used to dress was considered “different” but now its very much the norm and accepted. Which is cool. Thass what we do it for, but the next step had to be made. Im older, my wife is a supermodel, and ima trippy ass nigga. My clothes reflect that. My toms cost $45. My Louboutins cost $2500.

Moving on to the music, I haven’t been this excited about any of my projects ever. I remember when i made kush and orange juice, I listened to it and knew I had created a new genre that wld change music.The mistake i made on Rolling Papers was thinking it was time to move on from that genre not knowing that it had impacted people so much. The album did great numbers, but creatively wasn’t my best work. No regrets though. We live and we learn. So for my fans sake and own personal enjoyment, Ive gone further into the world we’ve created and elaborated on our genre with the mixtape Taylor Allderdice and of course my sophomore album ONIFC. Im so confident in the artistry and creativity of these projects because so much living went along with them. These aren’t songs aimed to be hits or widely accepted or even understood. Iss for people who live like us and can relate. And informative to those who can’t. Either way we’re inviting mu fuggas deep into our world and I can’t wait. I got new visuals, a new clothing line, and the new show is gonna be amazing. This is for us. Taylor Gang Or Die.

Here i have compiled 3 videos that just absolutely BLOW my mind. The video above is a remix of the Pixies song "Where in my Mind" and he live loops the whole song to himself and gets reallll creative at about 2:45. The next video i have is called "Somebody that i used to know" by Walk Off the Earth (Gotye Cover). What you see here is 5 people playing on one acoustic guitar and they keep beat the whole time and the song is pretty good too. And on the last one skip to 0:40 and just watch the drummer... This is probably the best drummer out there because he just goes HAM at reunion party straigh jamming plus the song is a GOldie too.

RIP Blunts

Today is a very sad day. My beloved turtle Blunts has passed away this morning. He was such an amazing turtle. Always swimming around trying to play with Speedy Claxton, Joker, and Papers but now he cant do that anymore. He has moved on to turtle heaven. I will miss Blunts with every piece of my heart every day. It just won't be the same without him swimming in the kiddie pool I put out for my turtles every year. I remember when he climbed on top of Speedy Claxton and Speedy started to walk around the cage like a little circus act. Blunts is the one on the left, he was the better looking one (Speedy Claxton not pictured). I miss you already Blunts.
